From a distance the quiet setting of the local carnival stirs the imagination... endless possibility for excitement. It's funny how sometimes the anticipation of an event seems more exciting than the actual occurrence.
What a perfect image of summer. You are so right, the anticipation of a carnival is sweeter than the actual thing. I remember when I was little being so excited to go to amusement parks only to be terrified and aching to leave once I actually got to them.
