Orlando Garden Flowers

My bother's garden... thriving nicely in late November.

The roses are still peeking about.

I have to look this up... the Elmo flower?

Always tried to grow the croton as a houseplant... they seem to love the FL climate...NJ, not so much!

This dainty little shoot shivers in the warm breeze.

Something about a tree by a picket fence is so homey.

So pretty... begonia's enjoying the cool weather. (68 degrees)

Like the snakes Florida is known for, these creepers climb stucco walls like the ivy at home (NJ) does.

Central Florida

All along the Florida highways are lakes and ponds where alligators swim about... so people never do!

Faces lurk from the jointed ends of huge cacti... not too scary.

The plants grow to enormous lengths... each leaf almost half my size here.
Even the impatiens seem larger than life... rivaling the hibiscus for their power to winter beautifully.

I thought acorns only came from oak trees, but here is a pod of palm tree acorns just waiting to drop on an unsuspecting head.

Just your average sunset from the Florida room, known as the lanai.

Thankful

So very thankful to be surrounded by the beauty and wonder of Nature...wherever the wind blows me!

Park'd in Florida

 A mini jungle of sorts.
Lily or orchid...not sure, but beautiful!
The lazy spanish moss hangs everywhere.
The ducks are bold and intimidating.
I is for ibis... now I know what it its!

Acorns for November... feels like home!

The pine trees right at home with the palm trees.

Poinsettias grow in the ground...X-mas is coming!

Florida Fall

It's not all about the palm trees... Florida has it's color change as well.

Cloud Game

I see nothing wrong with having one's head in the clouds...those floating friends have the power to unlock the imagination and play with the senses.

Smokey Mountain High

The Smokey Mountains stand tall, blue, and secretive in the distance... giving hints as mist between the trees. The sun streams light to the hills and valleys below.
