Flood Plain
Normally a quiet little brook in the backyard, the rains have come and the flooding resumes. The hardy vegetation will be covered in no time but will flower in bright yellow blossoms in mid April.

Redhead
Looks like a beautiful redhead gazing towards the sandy shore. Nope... it is the failed close-up of rooster plumage, as he struts around the scrappy yard of the local park zoo.

Fabulous Forsythia
A wall of golden delight explodes and illuminates the dull landscape. The first blast of Spring's color leads the way for the parade of pastels that will follow.

Like Magick
One day they were woody sticks devoid of color... as if on cue from the balmy breeze of an unseen wizard's wand, these hydrangea buds appeared to sprout as if by magick.

Baby Goat
It was hard to get this frisky little goat to stand still long enough for a photo through the wires of a fence. Perhaps he was thinking for a moment, do I eat or do I play? A second later, playing was the answer.

Cala Lilies
A trip to the supermarket at the start of Spring and behold... mini cala lilies found their way into my cart!

Fire Dance
There is nothing so spellbinding as the dance of the flames from a ceremonial fire. Gazing in fascination one truly becomes mesmerized.

Rise and Shine
A proud rooster struts his shiny plumage... memories of that familiar wake up call from my early childhood... cock-a doodle-doo, translates to rise and shine!

Imposters
In the dark before the dawn, the shriveled berries of the Beauty Bush hold the snow, pretending to be Pussy Willows.

Gazing Through Mesh
The overcast eye of the Sun peers through the tattered mesh of a viewing screen, wooing Winter's waning hurrah.

Floodplain Races
It was a race to the riverbank in the turbid waters of the flooded stream. A determined winner and complacent loser.... why it's no race at all.

Imaginary Biker
From a distance this looked like a biker racing home against the backdrop of a cloud-filled sky. On close-up it is just a twisted pine branch lying against the receding snow.

Bramble Screen
Quiet as a white tailed deer, I peek through the tangle of branches and vines, wondering what it would be like to live in a cabin deep in the heart of the woods.

Eye of Fire
You stare into the fire... and sometimes she stares back with a face and a message that only you can recognize and comprehend.

Awakening
Due South of the old cellar window, a dreamy crocus flower pokes her sleepy head out from the leaves to sniff the Springtime air and bask a bit in the sun.

Splish Splash
A chilly rain... kinda blue, kisses the sidewalk. The reflection of an old journeyman waves as he points his silver sword beyond the edges of the littered landscape.
