Blackbirds and Blackberries

Blackberries are bursting from their vines enticing the shy red winged blackbirds who live nearby. I can hear their tsk, tsk, tsking as I approach the vine to take a shot. As I leave, they resume their song which sounds to me like a woooo-weee... song of joy.

  1. There's nothing like finding (and eating) wild berries! This brings me way back to wonderful memories of my childhood.

  2. So glad Felicitas... I felt the same way looking at those luscious berries, but I left them for the birds. The savor of the sweet memories of a simpler time were fresh in my mind though. Brightest blessings!

  4. The little thicket is teeming with them, but I can't seem to get a close-up of one, but I 'll keep trying. Thanks Barb!

  7. Thanks Kelvin! I've watched them turn from white blossoms to purple berries and I'm still amazed at the beauty of such a startling transformation. Have a wonderful day!

  8. Blackberries are delicious chrome3d! But I get mine from the local farmers market where there is no danger that they have been sprayed, as these wild ones grow surrounded by poison ivy. Love your clouds!
